I bought a tripod at a pawnshop that-over the two years I had it-endeared itself to me for two reasons: first, it was incredibly lightweight for a seemingly all aluminum (or other metal) 'pod and second, for its fluid motion.

: It didn't seem to have any plastic parts or a ball head.

: It was silver and a light skyblue color. It's full extension was about 5 ft.

: When my car was stolen about six years ago, so was the tripod. The car was recovered--the tripod wasn't.

: I've been looking for a similar no-frills, lightweight tripod, with no luck. Call me old fashioned; I use a Pentax K1000, and think that the less plastic, the better.

: Is there a company that still manufactures similar tripods, or is there a knowledgeable website I could be directed to?

: Thanks,

: Jake
