Moved up from disposable point and shoot to an SLR last year. Traded a hand built (by me) blanket chest for a Canon AE-1 with a canon 50 lens and a 135 telephoto (apeture stuck wide open- still good for portraits) and a few bits. I thought the AE-1 would do all I wanted. I have since found out that it does more than I want- I hate the wide open apeture for focusing, the shutter priority, etc. What I want is something like the K1000 (?); shutter speed with B, apeture, film speed, exposure needle on the left, hot shoe or outlet for a flash, and socket for a tripod and nothing else to try and out-think me. I have a few lenses so would like something ( Canon, solid, simple) that fits them.
PS. Into stereo photography so I need to be able to use my wide angle.
Regards,
Justin
