My guess is that it is screwmount camera (SM) that has a top speed of 1/1000 second. It could have been made by one of the following manufacturers:
Mamiya
Petri
Chinon
Ricoh
All of these companies made their cameras under different brand names, as well as their own name. You can search the net for these cameras and see if one looks like yours. Here is a good link for Mamiya 35mm cameras:
