Last spring, I read an article about flying with cameras that recommended shipping your equipment with the checked luggage.
By either using a hard sided type camera case (Pelican or equiv.) Or using bubble rape with one to two inches of raping and placing them in the middle of your luggage.
The article also said that because amount of equipment that pro’s take on photo shoots that checking is there only option. So if it save for the pro’s it save for you.
So I packed my equipment in a Pelican case, labeled it, double locked it, and put the case in an average looking locked brown suite case. All when fine from Florida to Utah/Arizona and back.
But we all know as January no more locked luggage, also I think the double bagging would cause trouble now
Any opinions on how to handle this now
