divide (5.6 squared) by (2.4 squared): the answer you'll get is about 5.4 times more light at f/2.4 (a difference of about 2.4 f/stops).
[to find the difference in f/stops, divide the log of the difference by the log of 2: log(5.4)/log(2) = 2.43 stops]
