There are several exotic chemicals that work great but they are not readily available to the general public. However, denatured alcohol works just fine. A technician would disassemble the lens and take out the blades putting them in a small container filled with the alcohol. Then as he reassembled he would clean all the pieces that hold the blades. All these pieces must be totally free of ANY oils. The mechanism must work without any oils. You could just clean the portion of the blades you can see with alcohol on a Q-tip but the problem will re-occur as the oil moves from adjoining parts back onto the blades again.
Expect to pay about $50-75 for this service if you take it to a professional repairman.
