recently purchased used Vivitar zoom thyristor 3500. it calls for Vivitar sb-4 and hvp-1 power supplies only. are there any other batteries i can use and if not where can i find power supplies mentioned above? thank you very much. Gail Patterson

You can always use four AA alkaline batteries. Regards Mikeb

The Vivitar 3500 flash is no longer produced. You will have to search places like eBay and used camera dealers to find what you're looking for. The flash does accept 4 alkaline AA batteries though. If you use 4 fresh alkalines, that should get you through a wedding shoot.
