It will cost much more than the value of your camera to have it repaired. You might consider replacing it with a newer Maxxum. Even a mid-level entry model like the "Maxxum 5" has more features than your outdated "Maxxum 9000", plus it will probably cost about the same as having the 9000 serviced.
