: Hi..Have any manufacturers ever made an 35MM SLR with an interchangeable film back, similar to a Medium Format camera, allowing film to be changed on the fly? This would seem to be a very desireable feature, but I have never heard of it being commercially available. If something along these lines is available how much would it cost (ballpark)?

: Thanks....

Rollie made one, I can't remember the model number
but it was a complete flop. interchangable backs ake the camera very expensive to manufacture and a bit "fiddly" to use. The idea of 35mm is that it is simple and fast to use at very reasonable cost. It is much easier to use a couple or even three bodies and would probably be just as cheap!
