: : I have just aquired a Simmon Bros. Variable Contrast
Condenser enlarger that takes 5 x 7 format. It is a D2 model.
: : The instruction manual is missing and there is an Auxilary
Focusing Attachment ( Cat. Nos 429-085. Any feedback on this
enlarger will be appreciated.
: Craig Camera has instruction manuals for sale for the Omega D-II and the Omega D-2/D-2V enlarger. ($18 for originals and $15 for xerox copies, plus $2 S&H domestic, $4 airmail abroad.)
: You need to be aware that Omega has gone through several incarnations and Simmons Omega was some time ago - the company is now known as Omega Satter. I'm sure if you provide John Craig significant information about your enlarger, he'll do his best to hook you up with the right owner's manual.
: I don't understand your reference to an auxiliary focusing attachment. Is this some kind of grain focuser (i.e. something which resembles a primitive microscope?) The link to Craig Camera is below.
Thanks for the information.
This a auxiliary focusing attachment has catalog nos 429-085. It
has a bell shaped housing on one end a focusing bellow at the
other with a 2 1/2 inch square hole in a plate.
