The best and safest way to get rid of the water spots is to rewash your film for 5 or 10 minutes, then treat the film with a wetting agent and dry. If that doesn't do the trick, you can also gently squeegee the film (after treating it in the wetting agent) with a film squeegee. That should effectively eliminate any residual water spots and hasten the drying time as well.
