This is for the person who asked about what lenses would fit his Pentax K1000 camera. The K1000 takes all K mount lenses, including lenses made for Pentax, Ricoh and Chinon manual focus 35mm cameras and K mount lenses made by Tamron, Tokina, Vivitar etc.

Look for any Pentax K mount lens. KA, or KAF will work too, but your camera does not autofocus, so it won't matter if you get a KAF. Fixed length lenses will give the sharpest picture...especially the Pentax ones, but if you really need an inexpensive but durable zoom, look at Sigma lenses or Quantaray. Quantaray lenses are sold by Ritz camera for around $120 (28-70mm). I own this Quantaray lens as well as two primes (fixed lenses) for my Pentax K1000, and to tell you the truth, I use the fixed ones more often because of the larger apertures and sharper pictures. good luck.
