I intend to sell my Nature & Pet photos (own EOS 3) and
those that I manipulate or enhance for others I am buying a G4
and I need a printer that is as close as possible to "photo
Quality".
Canon refuses to send me info on their BJC-8200. Three calls no
info yet. I am looking at possible Epson 1200 (most likely) or
maybe the HP Deskjet 1220C- light tones are speckly.I can not
afford the Dye sub printers and I know about the longevity ink
problem and may try the Lyson inks if they are compatible. Any
suggestions?

Look into Lexmark printers too. I got one that'll print 1200 dpi (model 3200) in the same price range of a 600 dpi HP. I've been really pleased with mine.
