I don't think you missed anything special here. GAF was
historically associated with Ansco, another company which has
ceased to exist - however the Ansco name lives on, it was
purchased by the Haking Group of Hong Kong, which markets Ansco
cameras in the US and the same cameras under the Halina brand in
Europe.
