: I am trying to find a lens for this old 35mm camera for my girlfriends birthday. Needs a 3-flange, 49mm bayonet mount. Have tried Mamiya, Shutterbug, dealers. Am at my wit's end. Anyone know where I can find one?

The Mamiya 35mm cameras were targeted for the average consumer/hobbiest. All 35mm production stopped in 1982 when the company decided to put all of its efforts into the much less saturated medium format market, that is what makes the lenses and bodies a bit difficult to locate.

Lenses for the NC-1000/NC-1000s will be marked "Mamiya-Sekor CS". But Mamiya also made an adaptor to fit M42 ("Pentax thread") lenses to an NC body, so there you have an alternative lens source.

Mamiya Camera has a Mamiya Forum that you may check at: Older Mamiya Cameras
Those guys will tend to cling to their equipm, ent since they are fans of the brand but who knows, they might refer you to a good source for lenses.

Have a great time.
