Okay ~ looking for opinions on the following: I own several cameras ~ one SLR Pentax body with zoom, telephoto and standard lens, a Kodak 35mm point & shoot that is about 15 years old, a Yashica 35mm automatic, and most recently, a Kodak 4700 APS. I'm not completely satisfied with any of them for various reasons.
The Pentax is unrealistic when it comes to taking fast shots of my two active kids; my old Kodak automatic has been my favorite camera of the bunch, but unfortunately, has seen better days. The battery costs $25 to replace and the battery door has come off! My Yashica is okay, but not great. The Kodak APS is nice, but it costs a FORTUNE to develop film and forget duplicates! I like to scrapbook and HAVE TO HAVE duplicates, but very few places offer them free. Also, have been having a TERRIBLE time with red eye with this camera.
Anybody have any suggestions? I hate to buy yet another camera, but I'm to the point that I'm ready to get rid of all of them for one really good, multi-purpose camera! Also, does anyone have an opinion on the longevity of the APS format?? It doesn't seem to be taking off the way I'm sure the manufacturers were hoping.
Thanks for any input/advice!
Amy K
