: Hello.
: has anyone ever designed an adapter to mount a flash on the top of a Praktica Nova? I really do not relish the thought of holding one all the time.

You can buy a flash bracket at any well-stocked camera store for less than $20, or from Porter's Camera Store. A flash bracket screws into the tripod socket on the bottom of your camera and is "L" shaped. It has a flash shoe on the other end. You will have to connect the flash to the camera using a PC cord. Most flash brackets have a built-in handle which makes it much easier to hold the flash and camera combination.
