I have an old Ricoh XR-P camera which had very little use. I kept it for many years in its own box. Today, I
decided to offer it for sale to a camera store. I was very surprised when the man tried it and said that it does not work.. The film advance lever is not moving, and the shutter release button does not produce a click sound when pressed. The camera had no film in it,
and he said that he replaced the old batteries, but I'm not sure if the ones he put in are any good. Should the film advance lever work even without film and batteries ? What else can cause this to happen. I just can't believe the camera stopped working without anybody touching it.
